Things On Tuesday
I have somewhat of a longer list this week because not only did I start early, but it was a rough work week (after the last post).
Things I loate:
- My supervisor talking down at me... and how everything I suggest appears to be "demeaning" to the other person I work with even though they are perfectly legit suggestions for work. *rolls eyes* I swear, this other person is so sensitive about every thing! Yes, I understand that she's just getting out of a relationship and that's rough, but leave it at the door! Don't bring it to work!
- My co-worker thinking that I "don't know" the job just because I wasn't working in "her centre" last year. I do know how to do my job, thank you very much!
- The inability to swear in the privacy of my office at work anymore, because apparently the 18 year old staff can't handle it.
- Doing my laundry.
- Losing a friend... =(
- Lousy service at a restaurant where the "hot" food combo came out cold.
- Going back to work after a long weekend.
Things I love:
- Long weekend! Four days of relaxation.
- Planning my vacation days!
- Going to a fabulous-tasting dinners with family & family friends.
- Being able to sleep-in late!
- Pasta! Sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, onions, grilled chicken, feta cheese w/ bow-tie pasta!
- Shopping!
- Satisfying my craving for deep-fried food.
- Custom Drink Sleeves - have not purchased but I am considering it. Thanks dearbarbz for pointing me in the right direction.
- My friend is back from England to visit for two weeks!

I can't stand bad service! I just recently had bad service at the Ironwood Boston Pizza here in Richmond. I usually go there and the service is not bad but last week, this girl started taking my plate and asking me if I was done when I still had food on my plate. I was so pissed off. Anyways, yes, lousy service sucks. I usually don't know if I should tip or what, but I end up just giving 10% anyways. What about you?
I'm with you on the shopping and deep-fried food cravings :)
Well it was hard as far as how much I tipped... because when I normally go there, the service is fine, slow but good. And since I had sent the plate back, and they had re-heated the Chicken Terriyaki, I did tip them the standard 10%. I may have tipped them more if they had re-heatead the rice too.
Now based on yoru comment, you've just told me not to go to the Boston Pizza in Richmond... is it usually that bad, or was it just that day?
It was just the server, I think. It's not usually bad at all. But just thinking that they'd hire such an awful server haha.
If it were me, even if they did heat up the rice, the Chicken Teriyaki was initially cold. It obviously has been sitting there for a while. And since their service is also slow, then that deducts points as well. But I would still give 10% tip. Nothing more, but also nothing less.
I find it really unreasonable when a few of my friends would experience bad service and not tip at all! That's too much.
I don't like to not tip unless it's horrible, like rude and won't help when complaining. I'm just not the type of person to screw a server over especially if they've tried.
As to my recent thing... well, I did feel bad for the server because she had 6 tables going and no one to help her. The restaurant only had 3 people working the entire lunch shift.
Oh I see. I guess it is understandable, in your case. Specially if you like the place and if they were nice and were apologizing for it.
In my case, she never smiled once. She was rude and asked our orders to be repeated a few times.
