So I woke up in the middle of the night feeling awful. I ached all over and was vomitting. Finally, when I started to get the shakes, my mother took me to the Emergency Room (this was 3AM). I stayed there for several hours and my diagnosis - Stomach Flu. Apparently I showed all the symptoms. I'm hoping it's just a bad case of food poisoning, or me not reacting to certain foods well because I have dinner plans tomorrow that I'd like to keep. It'll all depend on how I feel tonight. I may just have to cancel them. Of course, if I still feel really icky, I won't go to work either and call in sick (for the very first time). And the other shocker was that it snowed last night. When we left for the ER, I saw snow. And then even more snow when I left. Jeez! What a day to get sick?!
Just finished another 25 minutes of cardio (w/ warm up and cool down), so it was only about 15 minutes of cardio. I still had trouble following the footsteps to the Samba, but I'm trying. When I can't seem to follow, I try to repeat the stuff that was done just a minute before. So far, my legs are getting a major workout, but my mid-section really isn't. I think I'll need to change to another dance to work on my abs. That needs major work as I developed a small but expandable belly from my year of drinking when I was studying for my B.Ed. *sigh* Sometimes, I really regret how much I drank, but it was a great way to bond with my classmates, and I really wouldn't trade it for the world. And even though I've lost touch with a fair number of them, I'm sure if I ran into them on the street now, we could still sit down for a coffee and catch up.
Okay, so after receiving my workout DVD, I tried it out for the first time today. To be honest, some of the footsteps were hard to follow, but I tried. I set it up so it was the Warm Up, one dance - Samba, and the Cool Down. That was just under 20 minutes. I thought I would start small and then build it up, but I think I made a mistake in choosing the Samba. The footsteps were really hard to follow. I think I may have to watch the DVD again without doing the workout (I already did this once) so I can learn the steps and follow it better. I did work up a small sweat before needing to go to a party so of course, I have to change first. This appears to be a good start... now I just need to keep it up. My goal is to fit in 30 minutes of cardio per day.
How are you spending Christmas Day?
Today's been a rather busy day and it's only half over. I had dim-sum (brunch) with my mom's side of the family this morning. After a hearty brunch with endless amounts of food, we went over to my grandma's where the family gathered for some chatting. My cousin, Verona, just came back from Oxford for a Christmas visit and will fly by next week in time for school. Mom bought her a jacket for Christmas, figuring that she'll need it while in England. Tonight, I'm attending a party at my cousin's house (Dad's side of the family). It should be a rather quiet evening as the university-aged cousins are away on vacation, leaving only the adults, and two youngsters.
What fragrance/cologne do you put on when it's your night out?

Were your holiday cards store bought, handmade, online, TBD or MIA?
Completely MIA. This year has been the first Christmas where I'm working full time... hence, I've had no time at all to write Christmas cards. Which in itself is sad, because I didn't get to send it to friends, or write them for co-workers, ex-teachers, etc. Whereas last year, I actually managed to send presents and whatnot. *sigh*
