It has happened! Michael Rosenbaum has decided not to stay on Smallville as a Series Regular. While neither Rosenbaum or the show runners have written Lex Luthor out of Season Eight, Rosenbaum has kept true to his words, that Season Seven would be his last season on Smallville. My Opinion: It's about time! Michael is a talented actor who needs to spread his wings. While I have no doubt SV has been a great launching ground and has taken him from a small-time actor to a full blown star, he needs to broaden his horizon. I can't wait to see Michael tackle other roles, possible tougher and even more complex and dramatic roles. I just hope he won't be cursed like many who make a name for themselves through one show and becomes cast-typed. (Think Mark-Paul Gosselaar transitioning from Zack Morris and beyond). I really hope to see more of Michael in other roles, other shows, and on the big screen.

Who do you want to be caught under the mistletoe with this holiday season?

After 10 years on the air, The WB Television Network officially announced that it would be merging with UPN to form The CW; thus the end of The WB. For many years, The WB had been my favorite television channel (it has only recently changed due to my own person maturity). So it is very sad for me to say goodbye to The WB.
The WB was a huge part of my teenage years, introducing me to such cult phenoms as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, and such classic cartoons as Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs and Pinky & the Brain. I spent many hours watching the network, even watching shows that at first I didn't like but grew to enjoy, such as earlier season of 7th Heaven, Charmed, Felicity and even Dawson's Creek.Over the years, saying goodbye to each individual show - five seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (season six and seven were aired on UPN), five seasons of Angel, and six seasons of Dawson's Creek proved to be difficult. Yet even though my favorite shows are gone, today, I still tune into The WB to catch new cult-hits such as Supernatural and Smallville.
This Sunday, we will officially say goodbye to The WB. Starting at 5PM, The WB will air series premiere episodes of the shows they feel is what made the network so successful starting with Felicity (Pilot), followed by Angel (City Of), two hours of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Welcome to Hellmouth & Harvest), ending with Dawson's Creek (Pilot). After the five hours of programming, The WB will officially end, with The CW programming starting the next day, Monday, September 18, 2006.
I love Lex Luthor! Ever since Smallville came into the boobtube, I've fallen in love with Lex Luthor (played by Michael Rosenbaum). Since the days of Lois & Clark, I've always loved a good "bad" guy, including Lex Luthor, even though the guy who played him then wasn't so hot. Now, Rosenbaum has totally changed the Lex image, making him sexy! I mean, by god, Roesenbaum has even made the shaved head hot!
And why am I bringing this up now? It's because I'm watching an old episode of Smallville, where Lex's
adult past (Metropolis) is revealed (slightly), he's punching a bag,
sweaty, and he was also wearing a leather jacket. Needless to say, I'm
obsessed.
